He also set the precedent that he intended to sleep through opening all of his presents! Needless to say, K and B had to open more packages with Aidan's name on them than theirs, but that was probably to be expected. Pappy's Christmas certainly set the tone for the continued spoiling of Aidan!
December 23 brought Christmas number 2 at Mimi's house! True to form, Aidan slept through opening his presents:
Despite his sleeping through opening his presents, Aidan still managed to be overindulged by Mimi, Uncle Kevin and Aunt Bonnie, and Uncle Joe and Aunt Kassie. Several of his new toys received glowing first reviews!!
Originally, K and B had planned to stay in Louisville on Christmas Eve and load up the family truckster on Christmas morning to head to Gramps and Nana's house. A bad weather forecast changed that plan and the clan headed to Lexington after spending some time with Aidan's great grandparents on K's side. Fortunately, this meant that B got to participate in a Christmas Eve bourbon taste test courtesy of Uncle Johnny. B is voting for making it a new Christmas tradition!
Santa brought Aidan a jumperoo for his big Christmas present!
He really seemed to enjoy it (as well as his morning bottle from Nana)!
To maintain consistency, he slept through opening presents!
Of course, Nana, Gramps, Auntie Erin and Uncle Johnny, and Uncle Kevin spoiled Aidan rotten to the point where packing the family truckster on the way home was a job only Gramps could handle. Luckily, Nana and Gramps gave Aidan a toy chest in the hopes of organizing his toys (K and B aren't sure it's worked).
Aidan got dressed up for Christmas dinner (steaks expertly cooked by Uncle Johnny - in the dark, no less!) and consented to a family photo!
